SBTRKT Releases Interactive Video For 'Look Away'

16 September 2014

After recently releasing tracks with the likes of Warpaint, Raury and A$AP Ferg, London based producer Aaron Jerome, a.k.a SBTRKT, is back with a new single that features the vocals of Caroline Polachek from Chairlift. The track is called ‘Look Away’ and its release was accompanied by a (strange) interactive video.

Once again, SBTRKT takes a more dramatic turn with ‘Look Away’, creating a track that circles around a foundation of moody piano chords and Caroline Polachek’s theatrical vocals. Combined with digitally manipulated melodies and rhythmic structures, the track is most certainly one of SBTRKTS eerier sounds.

The video for ‘Look Away’ matches the song’s dark tones. The face of a computer generated woman glides up on to the screen and invites viewers to catch her eyes (with the help of your webcam) as she tries to avoid yours (with the refrain ‘look away’ looping in the background, of course).

You can watch the video here and listen to ‘Look Away’ below. Wonder Where We Land by SBTRKT will drop on 29 September via Young Turks.
