Sounds In Silence: Roohaniyat Artist Residency Announces New Music Festival In Uttarakhand

26 November 2019

Earlier this year in January, New Delhi-based singer-songwriter Angad Katari and event curator Aarzoo Choudhury transformed a family vacation home at the foothills of Uttarakhand in Sirori village (15km from Nainital) into a residence dedicated to providing a creative getaway to artists and christening it “Roohaniyat”. Expanding upon the resort’s functionality even further, the residency will play host to a new festival Sounds in Silence.

The Sounds In Silence festival will take place on December 20 near the scenic background of Jim Corbett National Park’s green landscapes and respect the sanctity of the natural surroundings by limiting the attendance to just 80 people. The one-day festival will feature music from Lifafa, Jamblu, Bowls and Karan Sings, i.e. the stylistically rich solo projects by individual members of New Delhi-based group Peter Cat Recording Co., alongside Rijul Victor’s solo electronic act Corridors, the audio/visual act Ethnica and a performance from co-founder Angad Katari.

Tickets to the festival are limited – head here to purchase. For more details, follow the Facebook event here.
