VH1 Sound Nation Full Line Up Announced

2013 has been a pretty incredible year for Indian independent music.
Wild City launched Magnetic Fields Festival. Bandish Projekt’s “Alchemy” won the Asifa India Awards For Excellence with a special Jury mention in the best animation film category, Dualist Inquiry launched his label ‘Dualism Records’ and Bacardi NH7 weekender took some of the nation's best indie acts to brand new markets.
VH1 has now stepped in to celebrate these milestones with its very own awards ceremony; VH1 Sound Nation Awards.
Nominations featured aim to be a reflection of the rapidly growing music industry with artists from almost every genre represented. Along with the 'video of the year' and 'best new artist' category there will also be a shout out to the years 'best electronic act' and 'best electronic DJ’. VH1 will also be handpicking the winner of the 'hall of fame' award - an offering to individuals who've made outstanding contributions to the world of Indian music in 2013.
The Vh1 Sound Nation Awards ceremony will take place on 11 May 2014 at Hard Rock Café, Mumbai.
In the run up to the awards ceremony, it will be throwing not 1 but 23 parties. Hosting 28 artists, across 23 gigs, in 6 cities to be precise VH1 Sound Nation will also act as a multi-city festival from 2-11 May.
