Bangalore Blues Takeover Kicks Off This Weekend

India really is going blues crazy, Bombay, Kasauli and now Bangalore is going to play host to their annual Ode to the Blues music festival and Blues around Town.
Kick-starting this Friday 18 April, the week long Blues Around Town is a festival that will feature daily events, performances, concerts and busking sessions across the city bringing together over 15 artists at venues including Church Street, Opus, Monkey Bar, Humming Tree and BFlat, before finishing off with the grand finale – Ode to the Blues - at CounterCulture on Saturday 26th April.
Ode To The Blues, now in its fourth year, will take place over two stages - Robert Johnson stage and Roots Blues stage – and will feature a performance from Texan blues icon Guitar Shorty, famed for having inspired and taught legends including Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy.
