Call For Applications: Workshop & Residency For Female Graphic Artists

Female graphic artists are encouraged to apply for a workshop that will offer selected participants the opportunity to develop stories on gender issues, and teach them how to create stories and render them into graphic stories/novels.
The workshop will be conducted by German artists Ludmilla Bartscht, Larissa Bertonasco and Indian artist Priya Kuriyan – it is being organised by the Goethe Institut MMB and Zubaan and will take place from 7-13 April 2014. The workshop will take place in a quiet green environment on the outskirts of Delhi. Participants and workshop leaders will be located on site for the duration of the project.
Deadline for applications is 10 March, to apply simply email your CV, examples of your work and an idea for a story with a gender-related topic (either text or illustrated representation) to firstname.lastname@example.org. There is an all inclusive fee of Rs 10,000 for all selected participants.
Please note, only female artists with previous experience in illustration/comics/graphic arts and story telling will be accepted. Participants are required to spend the full week at the workshop and to live on-site. Accommodation will be on a twin-sharing basis. The language of the workshop is English.
