‘What Difference Does It Make’: Mumbai Set To Host RBMA’s Global Premiere For Music Doc

12 February 2014

We’ve been banging on about Red Bull Music Academy applications for a while now, and rightly so. The Academy is literally a game changer for successful applicants and offers a platform like no other for aspiring talent. With the 2014 edition set to take place in Tokyo later this year, the stakes are set ludicrously high and the competition will be nothing less than ferocious. Having said that, you would be an absolute fool of a Took not to give it every drop of creative juice left in your system.

To celebrate their 15th anniversary, the Academy invited award winning director Ralf Schmerberg to create a full length feature film which was shot at the last edition of RBMA in New York. Titled ‘What Difference Does It Make? A Film About Making Music’; it explores the challenges that a life in music can bring and features a host of inspiring and talented people that have participated in the Academy in some shape or form.

As part of the global launch, the film will be premiered in Mumbai at the Big Bang Bar and Café in Bandra Monday 17 February at 7.30pm which will be followed by a performance from Nischay Parekh featuring RBMA alumni Jivraj Singh.
