Nero & Rusko To Play Smirnoff Experience Festival Later This Year

22 October 2013

Scheduled to take place on 21 December at Manpho Convention Centre in Bangalore, 'Smirnoff Experience' is a first-of-its-kind event that aims to create a 360 degrees visceral multi-sensory experience for its participants.

Not very much information has yet been released, however we do know just enough to get your mouths watering. Most excitingly world-renowned stage designers Alex Lazarus and Heather Shaw of ‘Vita Motus’ will create the exclusive set for Smirnoff Experience, one "that showcases the limitless possibilities of visual art". Previous Vita Motus projects include the jaw-dropping 3D visual mapping for Amon Tobin’s ISAM, and the incredibly immersive Do Lab stage at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Yes, that's right. The very special festival will also showcase a series of stunning visual art installations from an array of Indian artists.

Domestic performers are yet to be revealed, although bassheads across the country will be happy to know that UK based Nero, a Grammy award winning electronic music trio will be playing India for the very first time. That's not all. Rusko - the don of all things squelchy in the world of bass is also set to make his Indian debut.

“This is the first time we've ever been to India and it's a place that we've always wanted to come and visit. We look forward to performing for our fans here." - Nero

We're not really bothered about the International headliners, yet will probably still end up making the trek to Bangalore to check out the visual aesthetic. Saying that. It is a week after Magnetic Fields and we'll probably be sleeping...

Indian acts are set to be announced very soon. More info on that as we have it.
