First Listen: Title Track From B.R.E.E.D's Forthcoming Debut LP 'Binate'

19 August 2013

It's been a while since we've heard from Mumbai's bass powerhouse B.R.E.E.D. Since his move to Los Angeles last year, his name hasn't popped up any line ups. We've hardly heard anything from him ourselves.

We think we know why, and we've got proof.

Developing a brand new sound, we're excited to give the world an exclusive first play of the title track of B.R.E.E.D's debut LP 'Binate' in collaboration with Unbound.

"Binate" was recently signed to the mighty San Francisco based label, Muti Music also home to the likes of Opiuo, Son Of Kick, Mimosa and FreQ Nasty. According to B.R.E.E.D "Binate means yolked together, which represents the 'coming of the soul' mixed with an exotic digital side to create a new hybrid B.R.E.E.D sound."

His new album features lo-fi and pitched-down vocal samples, moody strings, synths and piano-laced melodies and may be a world away from what some of his fans may be expecting. We for one are digging what we hear.

"This is my first full-length album which features the most mellow, soulful and forward-thinking work that I have ever done, and I am super stoked to unveil this new creation, especially on Muti." - B.R.E.E.D
