Pune NH7 Weekender: Headline & Further Line Up Announcements

The Bacardi NH7 Weekender has grown to become recognised as India's "happiest music festival", branching out of Pune where it was first held into new and unchartered territories. Last year it had editions in New Delhi and Bangalore, which by all accounts were hugely successful.

This year, they're breaking new ground by hosting a 4th edition in Kolkata, debuting the now four-year old festival to a brand new audience. Each edition has a carefully crafted line up that over 2-3 days, will play host to some of the most exciting acts from across the country, over 6 stages. Not forgetting the host of international heavyweights from across the music spectrum who in many cases will be playing their very first show in the country.

This year is no exception.

Music fans across the country have been eager to hear about line up announcements, following the 'NH7 Secret Service' promotional campaign, and last night, the silence was broken. In the only 3-day edition of the festival, it has been revealed that UK electronic music giants Chase & Status will be doing a DJ set, topping a bill already bulging at the seams.

For those wondering who these guys are, Chase & Status are an electronic production duo from London consisting of Saul "Chase" Milton and Will "Status" Kennard. One of the biggest selling dance acts of recent years. They bring the experience of countless UK #1's, double platinum selling records and nominations for 'best British group' under their belt.

The duo is set to release their third full length LP 'Brand New Machine' in October just weeks before NH7 Weekender, following the success of 'No More Idols' in 2011 and 'More Than Alot' in 2008.
