Audio Pervert To Release 20 Track LP In April. Preview Tracks.

25 March 2013

Better known to some as one half of electronic outfit Teddy Boy Kill (Wild City mix), Audio Pervert has recently announced the release of his long awaited LP, 'Dark Robot' due to be released on 20 April 2013. Featuring a whopping 14 guest artists from across the country, it's been 8 months in the making and is our hot tip for one of the top 5 albums of the year.

Defiantly non-commercial, Pervert has showcased, yet again his ability to shift sounds completely between songs on the record – from synthy riffs to brooding guitars, right through to unsettling electronic abstraction.

We've sat in a room and heard most of the tracks from the LP with Pervert. It's an emotional and psychological experience. Dark Robot sounds like a confident brain trying to recall an alien abduction. It's the sound of a producer losing faith in what's around him, destroying himself and subsequently rebuilding a perfect entity. An obvious milestone in the musician's extensive catalogue, it sets the stage for further innovation in the world of electronic music in India.

Originally titled 'Audio Pervert & Friends' (and rightly so), the album boasts a staggering list of guests, including Saba Azad, Frame/Frame (Wild City mix), Ernest & Drake, Lionel Dentan (Da Saz), Donn Bhat, Sarbjit (ex Menwhopause) and Toymob. It's no wonder why it took a long time in the making, yet we're excited to have a final release date.

As a teaser you can hear 5 specially selected tracks from Audio Pervert, as an advance to the full length LP below. Bring on April.
