Art Stack: A Multimedia Design Showcase At blueFROG, Mumbai

11 March 2013

"Art Stack is a continuation of the blueFROG's mission to be a hub for all that is cutting edge in the whole creative universe, and to encourage young people who do not have a platform to open up their voices to the world." - Srila Chatterjee, Director blueFROG

Mondays are usually the one day Bombay's pulse shows any signs of slowing down. Hence, not exactly the best one to seek solace in its upbeat event scene, least likely at a high-octane venue like blueFROG. This week however, they've decided to shake up the formula a bit. Long hailed for their keen interest in the art and design world (the Mumbai branch has hosted several art Melas and exhibitions over the years) this Monday evening you can head on over for their annual multi-media design show Art Stack.

Initially launched five years ago as Mumbai's first-of-its-kind pop-up gallery, the show was conceptualised by one of the country's leading branding and graphic design studios Design Stack. Ever since, the pop-up gallery has continued to open its doors for one night only while simultaneously displaying/curating some incredible contemporary and experimental works of visual artists from diverse backgrounds. Think digital and video art, photography, sculpture, water-colour and more.

Over the last four years, the show has been noted for showcasing exemplary talent from all over the world, offering up a stellar opportunity to collect some reasonably affordable art. As such, we have little reason to doubt they'll keep up the consistency this year.

As the cheese in its mouse trap, the Frog's thrown in all-night happy hours, accompanying live music and a special cafe menu at happy hour prices. What else have you got to do on a Monday night?

Art Stack will take place at blueFROG on 11 March (tonight) from 6pm - 1am. Entry is free.
