A Summer’s Day Announce Full Lineup & Tie Up With Tata Memorial Hospital

29 January 2013

OML have announced the full lineup of artists that will be joining Norah Jones during her debut Indian tour on 3 March at A Summer’s Day in Mumbai. This is OML’s first festival in Mumbai and will be taking place over 2 stages. In addition to Norah Jones, the Main Stage will feature performances by singer songwriter M.Ward, Ankur & The Ghalat Family, and the Karsh Kale Collectiv.

The second stage is called the Think Pink stage and is a partnership with the Women’s Cancer Initiative – Tata Memorial Hospital. This partnership aims to raise awareness about breast cancer in India in addition to raising funds that will go towards the research and treatment of breast cancer in the country. Artists performing on the Think Pink stage include Spud In The Box, singer-songwriter (and vocalist from Goddess Gagged) Siddharth Basrur, and Nischay Parekh who will be accompanied by drummer Jivraj Singh.

Named after Emily Dickinson’s poem ‘A Something In A Summer’s Day’ the festival has been conceptualised by a team of women, with the idea of curating an event that women would like to go to, placing emphasis on a ‘cheery and easy’ atmosphere marking the arrival of the summer.

We’re all for girl power at Wild City and A Summer's Day represents a great initiative that we hope encourages more events to partner with worthwhile causes.
