Delhi Photo Festival 2013 Theme Announced

15 January 2013

Taking place between 27 September – 11 October at the end of the year, the biennial Delhi Photo Festival aims to bring photography into the public arena, increasing awareness of photographic arts whilst also creating a space for dialogue between its practitioners and audience.

The theme for this year’s festival is GRACE, chosen in tribute to the late Prabuddha Dasgupta:

“I want to have a long string of images, held together by grace, because grace is that undefineable, non rational, non linear word that I am looking for…. ” Prabuddha Dasgupta speaking at the Delhi Photo Festival 2011.

Practitioners are encouraged to have a creative interpretation of the theme through their work. Submissions can be made in March and only print exhibitions need to conform to the theme.

An initiative of the India Habitat Centre and Nazar Foundation, exhibitions and events will be free and predominantly take place at the India Habitat Centre with other galleries in the city hosting satellite exhibitions and events.

Further information can be found on the festival's website here.
