OML's Loudest Day Of The Year Comes To New Delhi

20 September 2012

Following the launch of the Loudest Day Of The Year in Mumbai, it has recently come to our attention, that it'll be taking place in New Delhi this weekend (21-22 Sept). In keeping with the theme of the previous event held at Mumbai's Liberty Cinema, Stein Auditorium at the India Habitat Centre will host a series of intimate performances as well as see some 'major announcements' from one of India's leading music business enterprises.

The evening is slated to kick off with a performance by Adi Suhail Tarun, a collective made up of Aditya Balani, Suhail Yusuf Khan and Tarun Balani. Also performing at the event will be the Susmit Sen Chronicles; the Indian Ocean guitarist’s solo project. The evening will be polished off by a Delhi based collective put together especially for this show. It will feature Nikhil Vasudevan (The Ska Vengers), Aditya Balani, Gucci Singh, Prithwish Dev (Them Clones), Chayan Adhikari (Advaita) and Girish ‘Bobby’ Talwar (Zero).

On Friday 21 September, Amaltas (the basement theatre) at the India Habitat Centre will also host the screening of a documentary about the 2011 edition of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender. In addition, there’s a special exhibition of photographs from the first two editions of the festival at the Convention Centre Foyer.

Entry to all these events are free. To get yourself on the guestlist for the Loudest Day Of The Year you can head over here. To be a part of the screening (limited seats) you can head over here. Of course this weekend of festivities is to promote the Bacardi NH7 Weekender's first visit to the capital. More info on line up/tickets can be found here
