Qyuki: Creative Platform Initiated By Shekhar Kapur & AR Rahman

14 September 2012

Qyuki is an online platform that allows people to share creative ideas, connect with like-minded people and interact with experts. The aim is to create India’s largest creative community. Founded by acclaimed producer/director Shekhar Kapur and India’s musical hero AR Rahman, this has the potential to become huge.

The platform has been created out of a need to support emerging creative talent in India. With a host of expert mentors to guide users, it promises to assist and steer young creatives whilst allowing users to showcase their talent to the world.

The basic concept is that you create a profile and upload pictures, music, videos, stories. You can then follow other profiles, view their work, connect, interact and share ideas. The platform aims to target young creatives aged between 18-34.

Mentors currently fall under four genres: photography - Suresh Natarajan, stories - Chetan Bhagat, films - Imtiaz Ali and music - Ranjit Barot.

Currently in alpha stage, you can apply to register with Qyuki to road test the service. To apply for an invitation to become one of its first members head here or email askqyuki@qyuki.com
