Asvajit

Since stepping down from his role as lead guitarist of Colombo’s foremost progressive jazz-rock band 'Powercut Circus' in 2009, Asvajit has made a name for himself as one of the most respected and forward thinking electronic musicians to emerge out of post-war Sri Lanka. For nearly a decade, Asvajit has consistently led dance-floors across the island with his intense and passionate mixing style and playful blend of funk-laden grooves, often contrasted by deep (but powerful) house and techno beats. Apart from producing razor-sharp tunes and whipping dance-floors into a frenzy, Asvajit is also a professional book designer, Ableton Live instructor and founder of Sri Lanka’s first independent underground record label, Jambutek Recordings.
