Details Announced For Pettah Interchange 2015

Goethe Institut and Border Movement have just announced details for the fourth edition of the Pettah Interchange, which will (like last year) take place at the iconic Rio Cinema & Hotel complex in the heart of Colombo's Slave Island district.
The Pettah interchange has been designed with the purpose of giving Sri Lankan audiences a taste of the German ethos of utilizing neglected public spaces to promote art and music. The event has also taken place in market places and dilapidated colonial buildings in Colombo in the past.
Last years show was an unprecedented success and saw the cinema packed to the rafters with party goers (watch the video below for an idea). The Pettah Interchange featured music by a number of artists from Berlin and South Asia as well as visuals and art by Pfadfinderei.
This edition of the Interchange looks like it’s taking things up a few notches. The lineup is a heady mix of German and South Asian talent in forward thinking electronica that looks incredible. We’re particularly excited about Berlin based producer and techno/noise wizard Paula Temple, who will play alongside the likes of Hamburg’s Marc Schneider, one of our favourite producers from the South Asian region, Tollcrane and a number of Colombo based acts including Sunara, Geve, Asvajit and Daffy Maestro. Representing the motherland will be Bangalore duo Audio Units.
