Indigo Live To Launch In Bangalore Today

25 July 2014

Big things are happening in Bangalore today with the launch of a new concept based music venue - Indigo Live. They’re kicking off celebrations with performances by the ever innovative Frame/Frame and electronic veterans, The Midival Punditz.

Indigo Live has emerged from radio channel Indigo 91.9, self described as “Bangalore and Goa’s premier international music station”. The brand new space is targeted at the city’s urban youth and promises to host multiple live music acts every week, apart from occasional comedy and fashion based events.

The venue is built over two levels - the ground floor boasts a performance stage and bar equipped, whilst the upper deck serves as a terrace for informal gatherings - or smokers.

To top it off, the team at Indigo Live has commissioned UK based street artists Sickboy and Ben Allen to add their creative touch to the space. The prolific artists are known for their pop sensibilities and have brightened up the walls with vivid splashes of colour in the form of graffiti.

The launch of Indigo Live is another sign of the ever evolving music scene in Bangalore. It promises to be an interactive destination designed to introduce contemporary artists from various genres of music to Bangalore’s younger demographic.

It might be too early to tell, but Indigo Live seems like an interesting venue that's worth a look. We suggest you drop by if you're in the city today.
