An 11 month long documentary project that investigates the developing music culture in contemporary India has just been completed and released. It aims to explore and represent variations of the ‘India Sound’ emerging from musicians across the country.
Directed by Neela Venkatraman, the 47 minute film features artists including Indian Occean, The Raghu Dixit Project, Swarathma, Motherjane and Advaita.
This documentary is part of a series of films that India’s Ministry of External Affairs has been releasing that explore India’s art and culture. You can find out about other documentaries that fall under this series here.
