Daphni, Khruangbin, Josey Rebelle, Sassy J Added To Magnetic Fields Festival Line-Up

Joining the likes of Four Tet, Ben UFO, Special Request, Jayda G, Machinedrum, and TEEBS at Magnetic Fields Festival this year will be Caribou’s elusive dancefloor alter ego, Daphni; Swiss DJ and producer Sassy J; London-based DJ and producer Willow; and Rinse FM Resident Josey Rebelle.

The Bira 91 South Stage will host three-piece Thai funk, surf-soul and all-around enigmatic act Khruangbin from Texas who have already played at festivals like Bonnaroo, Dimensions and Glastonbury this year. Sun Glitters, Say Yes Dog, and local acts Komorebi and Kumail will also be performing on the stage.

Berlin-based producer and Border Movement resident She’s Drunk will also be performing on Saturday at the Desert Disco Oasis, before the traditional Sunday afternoon take-over by Delhi Sultanate and BFR Soundsystem for 4 hours of reggae and dub. Online radio crew, Boxout.fm Soundsystem will be on opening duties at the Desert Disco Oasis on Friday afternoon.

In Magnetic Fields tradition, the secret parties are something attendees look forward to, with their propensity to surprise and elevate new names and sounds. Josey Rebelle, who played an incredible Boiler Room show in New Delhi earlier this year, will be performing at one of the parties. Resident Advisor’s secret party will see India’s Arjun Vagale make his festival debut before one of Belgrade’s finest Tijana T takes over console duties.

On Saturday and Sunday evening, the palace rooftop will see acts like _RHL, Sandunes, Disco Puppet and Your Chin perform as part of our new space, Saavn Sundowners. The palace gardens will turn into a picnic with hip-hop and barbeque and where people can throw down to beats by acts like DJ Ishani, MadStarBase, DJ MoCity and Livin’ Proof’s Raji Rags.

As it is every year, the festival has a theme. #MagFields2017 will be centred around the idea of the ‘laws of attraction’.

Magnetic Fields Festival 2017 will take place between December 15-17 2017. Tickets for the festival, along with accommodation, can be bought on the website here.

Follow the festival on Facebook and Instagram to keep up-to-date with the announcements.
