REProduce Listening Showcase Heads To Ladakh

REProduce Artists are known for their offbeat, eccentric and precise approach.

Renowned for their ‘Listening Rooms’ that take place in unconventional locations, REProduce recently made it a mission of theirs to focus on bringing electronic music to cities outside the ‘Big 3’ - Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi.

Having broken into Ahmedabad, Pune, Chennai, they have an upcoming one in Baroda. But the most exciting one is their recently announced Listening Showcase in Leh, Ladakh.

Over two days in September, and part of the annual Ladakh Festival, REProduce Artists are heading to Leh. In partnership with Red Bull and Ladakh Arts and Media Organisation (The LAMO centre), it’s the first time they’ve headed so far up north.

Over the course of two days, the Ladakhi Folk Ensemble will play along with distinctive producer Kartik Pillai aka Jamblu. Delhi-based disco-head D80 will also be one of the acts performing as well as genre-defying solo producer SISTER.

Lifafa is also emerging from the shadows to play as well as techno DJ and producer Hashback Hashish.

“This iteration will be a first for us; a chance to bring the curation and production aesthetic we’ve honed and achieved over the course of over 50 sessions of our signature event series, REProduce Listening Room, to an entirely different geography and audience. The underlying context aims to fill a gap in the ever iterating and increasingly varied community of live music in India by showcasing talent that might not get heard in the more mainstream oriented venues." - REProduce Artists
