Watch The Best of Nucleya's Visarjan Launch & Download His 'Bass Rani' LP
28 September 2015
If you follow the music scene in India even vaguely, you’d know that Mumbai bass-head Nucleya launched his latest ‘Bass Rani’ album yesterday as part of a Ganpati visarjan procession. Definitely a first of its kind, the launch travelled through Mumbai on the giant truck equipped with sky-high speakers and featuring visuals by Sourya Sen, a.k.a. Oblique as well as opening sets from Su-Real and Alo Wala.
Based on what we saw on social media, calling the launch a success would be a gross understatement – the travelling concert looked like complete madness, with excited fan posts, photographs and videos popping up all over social meda. We’ve compiled the best of them to give you a taste of what went down.
Nucleya’s rapidly growing fan base will also be very pleased to know that he has benevolently released the album today as a free download on Bandcamp. Click here for more.
“This was exactly how we wanted to launch the album and we are ecstatic everything went according to plan yesterday. Nucleya's music is essentially Indian street music fused with electronic beats, so what better place to launch his first ever full length album - on the street. The turnout of Nucleya fans was massive, huge love and respect to everyone that came down and danced with us.” – Tej Brar, Head Of Artist Management, OML
You can also listen to Nucleya’s ‘Bass Rani’ album in its entirety on Nucleya’s SoundCloud and follow him on Facebook for updates.
