Wild City Brings Berliner Phon.o Back To India For 3 City Tour

Wild City are once again proud to present the Indian tour of Berlin based Phon.o. The boy with the dot in his name who first started to play records with his buddy Apparat in the early 90s far in the darkest reaches of the Harz mountains, Germany.

It was over a decade ago, in the wet autumn of 1998 he started to create his own music and emerged in the spring of 2000 with his first release, on Cytrax (Kit Clayton and DJ Jasper's itchy, noisy and dubby Californian techno label). He’s since been signed by quintessential German techno label ‘50 Weapons’ run by iconic electronica duo; Modeselektor.

Over the past three years, Modeselektor's two prolific release channels - Monkeytown and 50 Weapons - have steadily amassed a comprehensive roster of very much in-vogue producers. Marking one of our favourite releases from this mini-empire was Phon.o’s last release ‘Black Boulder’.

Following his blow out shows in New Delhi and Mumbai last year, we’re absolutely thrilled to have him back. Anyone who attended either of these 2 events will testify. Deeply moving, and dance-floor smashing, he’s known for his trademark rhythms and characteristic killer synth riffs. One producer you need to catch playing live.

In support will be Wild City’s very own, Moniker. You should know who he is by now. Expect a musical journey spanning house, techno, garage, electronica, grime and much much more.
