Raghav Meattle, Hanita Bhambri & More Join Aswekeepsearching’s Mental Health Awareness Campaign ‘#foryourmind’

23 July 2020

Earlier this year, Hindi prog rock band Aswekeepsearching released their ambient album ‘sleep’, delving into themes of mental wellness and offering “a safe space for our and our fans' minds.” Taking the conversation forward and to more impactful grounds, the group has launched ‘#foryourmind’, a 15-day campaign that aims to raise funds and awareness for mental health.

Recognising the mental impact of the lockdown, the campaign sees participation from music acts Hanita Bhambri, Raghav Meattle, Polar Lights, Mali, Aditi Ramesh, Bloodywood, Foi, Street Stories, Gaurav Tophakhane, Swarathma and Aswekeepsearching, visual artists Sachin Bhatt, Vibhav Singh, Anoop Bhat, Tanaya Sharma and Ujjwala Bassi, and the upcycling clothing brand Candy’d Closet. The participants are selling items like compilations, new music, apparels, merchandise, zines and prints through a dedicated online store. At the culmination of the campaign, all the proceeds from the sales will go towards organisations helping people with their mental well-being, like The Minds Foundation, Anjali Mental Health Rights Organisation, The Live Love Laugh Foundation and Manas Foundation.

As part of the campaign products, Aswekeepsearching has also released a 3-track EP ‘I I I I’ in which the band reworks a track each from previously released albums, namely, ‘Ativa’ from 2015 album ‘Khwaab’, ‘Reminiscence’ from 2017’s ‘Zia’, and the title track from their 2019 release ‘Rooh’. The band also urges people who want to support ‘#foryourmind’ but are unable to donate or buy the products, to help promote the campaign via social media using the assets provided here – thereby, helping raise awareness around mental health alongside funds.
