Nucleya Sells Out Free Gig For 10,000 People in Less Than 20 Hours

17 August 2016

If you asked us three years ago whether any Indian musician could pack a stadium of 10,000 people, we’d have shaken our heads with a certain, definite ‘no’.

Udyan Sagar’s event for the launch of his latest ‘Raja Baja’ album under his Nucleya moniker states that it is “the single most ambitious independent show in India till date”, and he’s absolutely right. Not just that, the event, which takes place on 2 September is absolutely free for anyone who RSVPs.

The response since it’s been announced (just a day ago) has been absolutely incredible, and a couple of hours ago Nucleya posted on his Facebook page that they’d have to close RSVPs temporarily after an overwhelming 15,000 people booked tickets.

The set will “carry the desi-bass torch further” and feature music from the upcoming album, along with a custom stage designed specifically for Nucleya with brand new visual content by Wolves, which promises to be unlike anything the industry has seen before. Apart from Nucleya, the lineup includes Anish Sood x Zaeden, DJ SA x Sound Avtar, Su Real, SickFlip and Ritviz.

You can check out the event here for more information and follow him on Facebook for updates. If you're interested in knowing more about Nucleya and his rise to the top, read our in-depth interview with him here.
